ACCESS TO HEBREW

THE ‘OTHER’ FOUR QUESTIONS

1. Do the Hebrew prayers pass you by?

2. Can you only identify the odd letter?

4. Can you read - but not perfectly?

If you answer ‘YES’ to just one of these

questions, then ACCESS TO HEBREW is for

You

Access to Judaism

This is a class led by your Rabbi, fortnightly on Tuesday evenings following the Access to Hebrew class (see Diary for details).

Designed for those who are in the process of converting to Judaism within the synagogue, the class is also open to all those who would like to fill in the gaps in their knowledge, to learn some of the ‘basics’ they’ve never learned, and to explore the meanings underlying Jewish thought and practice.

The set book we will be using is The Jewish People. Their History and Their Religion by David J. Goldberg and John D. Rayner (Penguin Books, London, 1989. Cost: £9.99). If you’d like to participate in the course and would like to order a copy of the book, please contact the synagogue office.
